What Are Teams on Let’s Do This?

Teams allow participants to create or join groups when booking an event. Whether you're running with friends, coworkers, or family, Teams make it easier to coordinate and share your event experience. Depending on the event, you can create a new Team, join an existing one, or manage your group after booking.



Key Features of Teams

  1. Create or Join a Team During Booking

    • When registering for an event, you’ll have the option to either create a new Team or join an existing one.

    • Teams can be:

      • Public: Anyone signing up for the event can join.

      • Private: Participants need an invite link or code to join.

  2. Group Bookings and Teams

    • If you’re booking for a group, everyone in your booking will automatically be added to the Team you create.

    • If you choose to add details later (e.g., only entering your information at checkout), those entries will still appear on the Team Page. Participants can then claim their spots individually.

  3. Dedicated Team Page

    • Once your booking is complete, your Team will have its own page where you can:

      • View all current Team members.

      • Invite new members using your unique invite link.

      • Track any updates or manage your group.

  4. Event-Specific Availability

    • Teams are only available for certain events. You’ll see whether Teams are enabled for your event during the booking process.



Managing Teams After Booking

Once you’ve created or joined a Team, you can manage it through your Team Page. You can find a link to your Team's page in your booking confirmation email.

  • Inviting Others: Share your Team’s invite link with friends from your Team's page

  • View Team members: View all members on your Team Page.

If you need to change your team, you can do so on your Manage Booking page

  • Changing Teams: Switch to a different Team if needed on your manage booking page.


Important Notes About Teams

  • Team Captain: The person who creates the Team is designated as the Team Captain. Anyone with an account can view the full Team Page, but you don’t need an account to join the Team.

  • Team Size Requirements: Some events may have minimum or maximum Team size rules. If there is a minimum, you will sometimes be allowed to register your team for the event without meeting the minimum threshold. In this case, the captain is responsible for filling the team before the event date.

  • Organizer Competitions: For certain events, Teams that meet specific size requirements may be eligible for rewards. Contact the event organizer for details, as this information is not available on Let’s Do This.


FAQs

1. Can I delete a Team?

  • No, Teams cannot be deleted. However, you can leave a Team or switch to another one via your Manage Booking page.

2. Can I transfer Team Captainship?

  • Currently, participants cannot transfer captainship themselves. Please contact us by clicking the messenger in the bottom-left of the screen. Provide your Team name, event name, and the new captain’s details, and we’ll assist you.

3. Can I change my Team name?

  • Currently, participants cannot change their team name themselves. You’ll need to contact us with your event name, current Team name, and the desired new name.

4. Does everyone on the Team need to create an account?

  • No, not everyone the team needs an account. Only the Team Captain needs an account to access the Team Page. Other members can join without creating an account, though they won't be able to view the team page for private teams without an account. This is to make sure that no one not on the team can view private team members.

5. How do I invite others to my Team?

  • To invite others to your team, share your unique invite link from the Team Page. Anyone who uses this link will automatically be added to your Team.
