Refundable Registrations by Protect Group

We’ve partnered with Protect Group, a third-party refund protection provider, to offer refundable registrations for your event. This optional add-on allows you to claim a refund if unforeseen circumstances prevent you from attending, provided they meet Protect Group's conditions.


What Is a Refundable Registration?

A refundable registration is an optional add-on available at the time of booking. If selected, it allows you to request a refund for your entry fee if you're unable to attend the event due to certain unexpected circumstances. These circumstances are clearly outlined in Protect Group’s terms and conditions, which govern the refund process.

Refund protection ensures peace of mind for participants, knowing they’re covered in case of unforeseen life events that prevent them from attending the event.


What Does a Refundable Registration Protect Me Against?

Refundable registrations provide protection for a variety of situations, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury or illness: If you, or someone close to you, suffer from a medical issue that prevents you from attending.

  • Pregnancy complications: Refunds are available in case of complications that interfere with your attendance.

  • Public transport disruptions: Protection covers cancellations or delays that make it impossible to get to the event.

  • Vehicle breakdown or accidents: Refunds are available if your personal vehicle breaks down or you’re involved in an accident en route.

  • Bereavement: The passing of a close family member is covered.

  • Severe weather conditions: If adverse weather prevents safe travel, you can apply for a refund.

What Fees Does a Refundable Registration Cover?

Refundable registrations typically cover the event entry fee. However, certain items may not be covered unless explicitly stated. For example:

  • Covered:

    • The entry fee for the event.

  • Not Covered:

    • Merchandise or additional purchases made at the time of registration.

    • Charitable donations.

    • Third-party processing fees, if applicable.

It’s important to check the policy during registration to confirm which fees are covered.


I’ve Paid for a Refundable Registration. How Do I Claim a Refund?

Claiming a refund is a straightforward process managed by Protect Group. Here’s what to do:

  1. Click the Claim Refund button at the top of this article or visit Protect Group's refund portal directly.

  2. Log in using the email address you used during your event registration.

  3. Complete the online claim form and upload any required supporting documentation.

Protect Group will review your claim and typically respond within 7–14 days. You’ll receive confirmation once the claim has been processed.

If you encounter any issues or have questions about your claim, you can contact Protect Group directly through their portal.


Can I Add Refund Protection After Registering?

Refund protection must be selected at the time of your event registration. Unfortunately, it cannot be added after your purchase is complete.

If you missed adding refund protection during your booking, we recommend reviewing your event’s standard refund policies for further guidance.

  • Refunds are only available for those who purchased refundable registration at the time of booking.

  • How do I know if I purchased Refundable Registration? If you purchased Refundable Registration, it will be listed in your booking confirmation email. Check your email to confirm if this add-on was included in your booking.

  • Can I get a refund if I didn't buy Refundable Registration? If you did not purchase Refundable Registration, you are not eligible for a refund through Protect Group. Instead, you will need to contact the event organizer directly to request a refund.

  • How long does it take to process my refund request? The time to process a refund request varies. Protect Group reviews each claim individually. Visit the Protect Group’s refund portal for estimated processing times.

  • Can Let's Do This process my refund instead of Protect Group? Let's Do This cannot process refunds for Refundable Registration. All refund claims must be submitted and handled directly through Protect Group.

  • What documents do I need to submit a refund request? To submit a refund request, you may need supporting documents such as a medical certificate, proof of travel disruption, or other documentation depending on your reason for requesting a refund. Check Protect Group’s website for specific requirements.
